Dr. Alex Aronoff grew up reading the books of James Herriot and has had a life-long love of animals. He was originally Class of 2001 at Texas A&M University and graduated with a liberal arts degree in Speech Communication. In 2009, he realized that he needed to follow his heart, and entered veterinary medicine. After three years of additional bachelor’s level coursework in sciences, he entered the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 2012 and graduated magna cum laude in May 2016. Dr. Aronoff has practiced in both the Austin and Dallas areas.
Before veterinary medical school, Dr. Aronoff spent four years as the Dallas City Director for B’nai B’rith Youth Organization, an international non-profit agency dedicated to teaching leadership skills and community involvement to older adolescents. Dr. Aronoff brings his passion for educating from his time at B’nai B’rith, and firmly believes that the education of pet owners is essential to ensuring better lives for their beloved pets. He is always happy to take the time to see that all his clients’ questions have been answered. Dr. Aronoff lives in McKinney with his wife, Emily, their two sons, Aidan and Ethan, their three dogs, Dutch, Floki, and Magnus, and their parakeet, Frisbee. Dr. Aronoff enjoys flat water kayaking, hiking, and gardening.
